Nothing Makes an Outfit Cuter than a Cute Model

I love making cute outfits, but I love putting them on cute kids even more! The outfits that I made for Mrs. Hawaii 2014's fundraiser auction were just too cute not to get some great model shots!

So I called up one of my good friends with a beautiful little girl and out we went.

I was in LOVE with these patterns before, but I'm even more in love now!

Come see more cute creations like this over at our Facebook page.

And remember to check back soon, tomorrow TH has another photo shoot for the nautical collection with Nikole Vargas Photography

Supporting Mrs. Hawaii

I think it's pretty cool that I can say that I personally know a beauty queen! I good friend of mine, that I met thanks to our husbands being in the USMC, is the current reigning Mrs. Hawaii! I mean, exciting right??? I couldn't be happier for her and all that she's accomplished!

Now that she's won to represent the state of Hawaii she needs to raise funds to get to the mainland to compete in the Nation Mrs America Pageant. To do this she's hosting an Divine Wine and Desert Fundraiser in August. They'll be desserts, wine, cheeses, fruits, etc. She'll also be hosting a silent auction at the event and off course Tiny Hiney will be donating something for auction!!

But there's just too much cuteness in my portfolio and fabric stash to just make ONE item. So I made TWO!!! Hahaha! And since she's Mrs. Hawaii I decided to make them both in a Hawaiian theme.

First I made my most popular Hawaiian Asymmetrical Dress with a double ruffle, shirred waist, and extra ribbon shoulder tie.

And than I found this amazing "Sights of Oahu" fabric in my stash! Too cute! I made this one in the Blue Ribbon Dress with a jersey knit top, full skirt, ruffles, and cute accent pocket.

I hope that Mrs. Hawaii and all her guest LOVE these creation as much as I do!

Congratulation Mrs. Hawaii, I know you'll be amazing in representing Hawaii, married women, and Military spouses everywhere!

Lets Go Out to Sea with the TH Newest Collection

I love making collections. I get to try different patterns and new fabrics! Things different from the normal pieces that are usually ordered. Collaborating with awesome accessory designers and great photographers is always a plus! And who doesn't love adorable little models!

For my newest collection I went with one of this summers biggest trends, Nautical! I love the ocean and have lived next to the water for most of my life, I couldn't think of a better place to be! When I saw the Michael Miller Out to Sea Collection I died! It was whimsical, cute yet sophisticated, had both boy and girl patterns, and came in such a wonderful color pallet!

Fabric was the easy part, patterns are always the hard part for me. I have SO many patterns, its an addiction! But I knew I had to do something for the boys with this one, plus my youngster's birthday was going to be nautical this year so I could knock a birthday outfit too! I decided on the Jon Jon Shorts by Ola Jane Patterns for the youngest, with applique designs by Planet Applique. For the oldest, Cargo Shorts by Little Lizard King with a coordinating embroidered shirt, design by East Coast Applique.

All were cute and could be dressed up or down!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how everything turned out, so cute! I can't wait to head out to the pier and beach with all the models and get some great shots of these outfits! Stay tuned for that post!

Happy Birthday USA and my littlest!

Happy 4th of July! I love this holiday ... lots of time outside, cookouts, great friends and family! Plus everyone comes together, shows off their patriotism and celebrates America's birthday!

Once again it was a made dash to finish all the holiday orders. But I LOVE everything that was created, and even better seeing everyone in those cute creations!

So bring on all the Red, White, and Blue!

Can't forget our friends to the North ... Happy Canada Day!

Now while summer is usually a break from holidays I have not one but two birthdays in the summer one month apart! Always a joy but also a stress!

Here's some cute pictures my like youngest 2nd Sail-ebration!

K's Sailor Jon Jon (which I also made reversible!)

Big Brother got a matching shirt!

I'm no famous baker, but I know he was happy to smash it!

Thank you Pinterest for all the food ideas!

And lastly, a little shop announcement ... I'm taking a mini vacation. Not really going anywhere, or doing anything, just need a little time to breath! Soon it'll be back to school, Halloween and the Thanksgiving rush. Right now I want to be able to enjoy the summer with my littles and be able to clear my head. It'll mean I can come back with better ideas and styles!

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to send me a message. I'll still be here sewing, updating, and such. Just not taking on a full work load.
