Organizing & Patience

So I'm not a very patient person ... when it comes to fabric order! I placed a HUGE spring fabric order last week and I've been stalking the website to see the status change from "pending" to "shipped"!!

And this time I'm being really organized with it. I made design boards with all the coordinating fabric groups and decided what patterns I would use for each set! I'm in LOVE!!

Here's a sneak peek at one of the design boards ...

Bright colored Ponies!

I'm so in love with everything! Spring, Easter, Princess, Mickey & Minnie, and so so so MUCH more! Although I had a mini melt down while ordering, in the day it took me to put together what fabrics I wanted one sold out between 8am and 5pm!! SO sad! Wouldn't this have made the CUTEST dress or top?!?!

In my stalking status of being glued to my computer I've made good use of my time and completed a Master Pattern List for all my Boy and Girl patters, made sure my stock pictures are updated on Facebook and my computer, and a check list for what needs to be printed and priced! One step closer to getting my Catalog finished!

I guess I must peel myself away ... on today's agenda BIRTHDAY SHIRTS! Dusty, McQueen, Nemo, and more!!

Love is in the Air!

I love February! First there's my birthday (and who doesn't love that!) and than there's Valentine's Day. Now I don't get all caught up in the roses and diamonds craziness ... but a cute hand made card from my boys or a small box of chocolates and a bottle of wine from the hubs is perfect! I just love all the love!

This Valentines was no different! Today that last 2 outfits went out the door, so here's a recap of all the cuteness!!!

Valentines reversable skirt with Conversational hearts shirt. Bow by Munchkins n' Pumpkins Bowtique and chunky necklace by Paradise Beads Design

Probably my favorite this season! Wide pleated legged Whitney pants with embroidered Heart of Hearts tank. Tulle Puff Bow by Munchkins n' Pumpkins Bowtique

And we can't forget the boys ...

For those boys for LOVE their dirt!

Sea of Love! This one is for my oldest ... 2 months after Christmas and he's still into Submarines, so mommy delievered!

The cutest newborn onesie ... hard to imagine my boys this small! But this little man is going to melt hearts!

So HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!
I hope no matter what ... relationship or single, together or apart, sunny and warm or buried in snow ... I hope that your day is full of love!

Next Craft Events are Scheduled!

I love being able to do craft fairs and home parties! You get to meet new people, design new stuff, and spend the day surrounded by other crafters! Not to mentions it's a kid free day for me thanks to my amazing hubs!

And today I'm happy to say that Tiny Hiney is going to be at two events this spring, and hopefully a third is in the works!

Here are the two events that are definitely on the books, so those who are local you should mark your calendars for ...

Mokapu Elementary School Spring Craft Event is March 15 ... A great time to stock up on St Patty's and Easter Creations! Here's there Facebook page so you can see some of the other vendors and details.

The 39th Annual Hickam AFB Spring Craft Fair is May 3 ... Get great items for the summer! Hint Hint there will be special items for all those pool and beach trips!

I'm really excited about the Hickam event. I missed the fall one, and I hear this is a really great event here on the island, not to mention HUGE! My head is already filling with ideas! Plus Hickam has a larger booth so I'll get to decorate more!

And as always I'll be pairing up with Munchkins n' Pumpkins Bowtique

She's the BEST for bows, tutus, and other accessories to polish off any outfit! I always get my bows for me from her!

She makes the CUTEST chunky style necklace. And has something to match everything! I'm not going to lie I personally own about 5 of these necklaces and Love them!

And I'll also have a few from So Delicious Bows

Another great accessory designer. I too have a couple from her, love the shaggy flowers!

I can't wait!! There are so many new things coming for Spring, Summer, and these events! I just placed my fabric order for the Spring too, so keep a look out on Facebook and Instagram (@tinyhineybusiness) to see sneak peaks once it arrives!!!

Pajama Party!

I'm so excited for this! I finally got the PJ's from my giveaway forever ago! I know FOREVER ago (hangs head in shame because it's been so long!) but there were some issue and now everything is all worked out!

Out of all the designs that I have or could have gotten both of the winners picked Yellow PJ's with a Minion applique! Too cute that they both picked the same thing!

Love me some Minions!

Design by Designs Embroidery

Everyone says it with me "WHHAAATTTTT?" I had a strong urge to watch Despicable Me while making these! Sadly no way to do that.

I love how they turned out! And I know they'll going to look even cuter on these two little guys.

And I have 2 more to go, but those are for my little men. They won't be getting minions, but it'll still be really cute! I'll make sure to add an update with pictures of their designs.

I just want to again say thank you! When we did this giveaway (and I'm again cringing in shame that it took so long) I was just happy that we had reached 250 fans! And now look how far Tiny Hiney has come, we're almost at 400!!! So thank you, every single Tiny Hiney fan! And a SUPER big thank you to my winner, who were so patient in waiting for their PJ's!

Maybe I'll have to come up with another giveaway ... or site sale so!

Those who do, can also teach!

I am a self taught sewer. Lots, lots, lots, and LOTS of trial and error. And many hours looking at tutorials on pinterest and youtube. But in the past 5 years I've really come a LONG way, and I've had a great support system along the way!

Now at this point in my "career" if I can call it that, I've started to get some inquiries about lessons. And why not? I'm not hiding my background, I know most machines, and I can walk someone through all the simple steps!

I've had a few and I love them! Some are strict stutdent-teacher lessons. We go over the machine, different buttons and techniques. And of course still sew a complete outfit.

Here's some pictures from one of my lessons, she made the cutest Cinderella inspired dress. After she went home she also busted out an Aurora, Elsa, and Buzz Lightyear dress!

Beautiful Elsa inspired dress ... she even added a sheer cape!

Buzz Lightyear! I love when little girls wear more than princess!
And other lessons have been more of a sew-a-long! I love it! Its a chance to help someone see that they have the skills to make sure clothes too!

Here's some pictures from my last sew along lesson ... she made a cute Dancer Reese Dress and I made a Pink and Gray Reese Dress.

First half of a cute Reese Dress Lesson ... love this pattern!

Final dress ... SO cute! And her Little looked even cuter in it!
My Pink and Gray Reese Dress

I have another 2 lessons coming up and one is another new design! I can't wait!

Remember ...

Etsy Store Re-Opening!

With our big move last year (I can't believe it's been a FULL year!) I shut down my Etsy store. One because I knew I would be sewing very little to nothing during out transition and two because I was doing more of my business through Facebook!

But now that we're here, and settled, and I'm completely re-open I figured it would be a good time to re-open Etsy too. But I'm going to change how I use it!

Before I would post items and provide some options for each item. But completing order and dealing with some of the customer got out of hand. No matter what your policies and procedures are some people are just going to complain and be nasty! (Another reason I shut down!) But things in my studio are starting to pile up, and I can't make more items without clearing out some of the old stuff.

So I've turned my Etsy store into a Ready to Ship store. 99% of everything posted is a finished product and ready to ship. However I did keep my custom button active and noted in all the descriptions that if you needed something different please contact.

I've also listed everything on the Facebook page too ... you know because everything has to be fair! They're all listed in the Ready to Ship Album.

So if you visit us at either site know that these items are finished product and ready to go! But if you like something else you see or need a different size please let me know! I'm always open for custom orders!!

Stay tuned for more!
