Supporting Mrs. Hawaii

I think it's pretty cool that I can say that I personally know a beauty queen! I good friend of mine, that I met thanks to our husbands being in the USMC, is the current reigning Mrs. Hawaii! I mean, exciting right??? I couldn't be happier for her and all that she's accomplished!

Now that she's won to represent the state of Hawaii she needs to raise funds to get to the mainland to compete in the Nation Mrs America Pageant. To do this she's hosting an Divine Wine and Desert Fundraiser in August. They'll be desserts, wine, cheeses, fruits, etc. She'll also be hosting a silent auction at the event and off course Tiny Hiney will be donating something for auction!!

But there's just too much cuteness in my portfolio and fabric stash to just make ONE item. So I made TWO!!! Hahaha! And since she's Mrs. Hawaii I decided to make them both in a Hawaiian theme.

First I made my most popular Hawaiian Asymmetrical Dress with a double ruffle, shirred waist, and extra ribbon shoulder tie.

And than I found this amazing "Sights of Oahu" fabric in my stash! Too cute! I made this one in the Blue Ribbon Dress with a jersey knit top, full skirt, ruffles, and cute accent pocket.

I hope that Mrs. Hawaii and all her guest LOVE these creation as much as I do!

Congratulation Mrs. Hawaii, I know you'll be amazing in representing Hawaii, married women, and Military spouses everywhere!
